Do I need prior business experience to join?

Not at all! XSTEM is open to students of all experience levels. Our curriculum is designed to teach you everything from the ground up.

What are the attendance requirements?

To maintain active member status and receive club credit, you must attend at least 50% of our general meetings and participate in our mandatory LaunchSB event.

Can I join a competition team if I don't have an idea?

Yes! We host brainstorming sessions and team-building events early in the year to help members find co-founders and develop strong startup ideas together.

Is there a membership fee?

There are two fees to be aware of:

Club Dues ($10): A $10 due is collected during the school year to help fund club events, materials, and operations.
Pay to Participate: Members who wish to compete must pay a competition fee. The regular deadline is January 31 - submitting after this date costs an additional $15.
